We will be holding a tack sale and a membership night at the Walnut Tree Inn, Winterstoke Road, Weston-super-Mare , BS24 9HD, on 7^th March 2012.

This is a great chance for you to meet the new committee members, have a drink, have a chat, join the club for the first time or renew your membership. You can also bring along some of your unwanted tack and there is bound to be someone who will be only too willing to take it off your hands!

The new committee are very keen to hear any ideas you might have for the coming year, so don’t be shy, come along and say “hi”. Bring along your friends and let’s make this club the “Best in the West!”

Our BKRC classifieds section is now live. From here BKRC members can advertise their horse, horse related items or post a wanted ads. Once registered members can manage their own ads and upload images. Buyers can contact sellers through the onsite contact system or via the sellers contact details.

The Committee of Brent Knoll Riding Club would like to invite you to a Social Gathering at the FOX & GOOSE Public House/Restaurant, at Brent Knoll, on  Friday 28th October 2011  from 7.00 pm onwards. There will be a buffet provided, including vegetarian options. This evening is for members, their families/friends and anyone who may like to join the club. An ideal chance to meet the committee and other members of BKRC, to swap ideas and suggestions as how the club can evolve and maybe even think about joining the committee next year!

If you have been placed in the top three at any of our recent dressage competitions, you are eligible to enter the  corresponding dressage championship. Even if you have not been lucky enough to qualify, there are also open classes/sections for you to enter.

We would like to thank both Murphys Tack Shop and P.A.L.S. who have very kindly donated prizes for this competition, your support is very much appreciated.

Thank you to everyone who attended our Annual Summer Open Show held at Lympsham on Sunday 7th August 2011, the results are now available on our times and results page. We hope all results are correct – trying to transfer the information from wet paper records has proved interesting! Waterproof paper and pens will be in reserve for next year!

We would like to apologise for having to cancel the showjumping from the 2’6″ class upwards due to the ground conditions following the downpour. It was a very difficult decision to make, but after much consultation between the showjump judge, committee and competitors, it was decided on health and safety grounds to abolish the higher classes. Our main concern being the welfare of both horses and their riders.
